The KRA Summit is the Kenya Revenue Authority’s flagship platform for shaping the future of domestic revenue mobilisation, customs administration, trade and taxpayer service across Africa. Since its inception, the Summit has brought together policymakers, revenue administrators, business leaders, researchers, development partners and other stakeholders to exchange ideas, build partnerships and advance practical solutions.
The 12th KRA Summit will take place on 13–14 October 2026 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi.
Themed “Revenue Reimagined: Building Resilient, Intelligent and Inclusive Systems for Sustainable Economic Growth,” the Summit will examine how revenue administrations can respond to changing economies, emerging technologies and evolving taxpayer expectations while supporting trade and sustainable development.
This year’s discussions will focus on:
Inclusive participation and compliance innovation: Developing simpler, more responsive approaches that encourage wider taxpayer participation and support sustainable revenue growth.
Intelligent revenue administration: Applying data, automation, behavioural insights and emerging technologies to strengthen compliance, improve service and support informed decision-making.
Research and evidence: Bringing research into the Summit conversation to inform policy, administration and practical reforms.
Seamless trade and border transformation: Modernising customs processes, strengthening border management and using digital solutions to facilitate secure and efficient trade.
The future of customs: Examining the opportunities, risks and practical application of Artificial Intelligence, blockchain and other emerging technologies in customs administration.
Through plenary discussions, research presentations, stakeholder engagement and networking, the Summit will provide a platform for moving from ideas to practical approaches that strengthen revenue performance, improve taxpayer experience and support sustainable economic growth.
