Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA) is the pre-eminent training school of the Kenya Revenue Authority, specializing in Taxation, Customs and Fiscal Policy. The School invites scholars, researchers, academicians, PhD and other graduate students, research think tanks, policy makers, practitioners, and other professionals in these fields to submit their papers to the 1st KESRA Research Conference on the theme “Taxation in a Digitized Economy”, on Monday 15th October 2018.
Many Revenue Administrations across Africa are currently undergoing transformation in order to keep abreast of the challenges occasioned by digitization and emerging business models. The 1st KESRA Research Conference 2018 presents the best of research and practice, emphasizing new frontiers and initiatives in Revenue Administration and Fiscal Policy that respond to the dynamics of the business environment.
The conference theme is sub-divided into four main areas: Tax Administration; Customs Administration; Fiscal Policy; and Inter-Disciplinary themes, covering the following topics:
